2011 MicroStock Performance So Far

Sales this year so far have been interesting. Overall, they are above my 2010 sales at this time, but growth is slow. I think that’s mostly due to the fact that I haven’t been vigilant about adding new content to my portfolios.

October was a very welcome month with mostly higher sales across the board. Pond5 led with a new “Best Month Ever” in both number of clips sold and sales dollars. The only real bummer was the whole iSyndica thing… especially when it came time to gather the data for this months report. Ugh!

Pond5 adds After Effects Projects to product sales

Pond5 made a big announcement on Wednesday that they are now selling After Effects projects. This is after adding Audio files (music and sound effects) earlier in the year. Pond5 takes another huge leap towards being a “one-stop shop” for Video production.

With the loss of iSyndica, doing these monthly sales reports is gonna be a major pain-in-the-ass. But I vow to keep on keeping on.
